Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal state and local EHS regulations and company policies.
• Develop implement and maintain EHS programs policies and procedures specific to manufacturing operations.
• Conduct regular EHS risk assessments inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Manage incident investigations root cause analysis and the implementation of preventative measures.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees contractors and visitors.
• Monitor EHS performance metrics prepare reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and response plans including drills and equipment maintenance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Engineering or a related scientific/technical field.
• 7 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA EPA and other relevant federal state and local EHS regulations.
• Proven experience developing implementing and managing EHS management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001).
• Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) preferred.
• Strong leadership communication training and incident investigation skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems.
• Proven experience applying Lean manufacturing principles (e.g. 5S Kaizen) to EHS processes.
• Proficiency with EHS management software platforms (e.g. Intelex Cority Sphera).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop site emergency response teams.
