The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Kalamazoo seeking Bookkeepers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable including vendor invoices and payments.
• Manage accounts receivable generating invoices and monitoring collections.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll and associated tax filings.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and post journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial close procedures.
• Track and reconcile inventory-related costs and manufacturing expenses.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3 years of bookkeeping experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounts payable accounts receivable payroll and general ledger reconciliation
• Familiarity with inventory costing job costing and financial reporting specific to manufacturing operations
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite Microsoft Dynamics)
• Basic understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles (e.g. inventory valuation WIP COGS)
• Proficiency in advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with inventory management software integrations
