The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes (e.g. PLCs HMIs SCADA robotics).
Program configure and commission industrial control systems and robotic applications.
Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve complex issues with automated manufacturing equipment and systems.
Optimize existing automation processes to enhance efficiency quality and production throughput.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production maintenance engineering) on automation projects and improvements.
Ensure all automation systems comply with safety standards regulatory requirements and company policies.
Perform preventative maintenance calibration and upgrades on automation hardware and software.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation systems programs and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Mechanical Automation or Mechatronics Engineering.
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens Rockwell Automation) and HMI/SCADA development.
3 years of hands-on experience designing implementing and troubleshooting industrial automation systems in manufacturing.
Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g. EtherNet/IP PROFINET) and sensor technologies.
Experience with robotics integration and programming (e.g. Fanuc KUKA ABB).
Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex technical issues and optimize automated production processes.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with industrial robotics (e.g. FANUC KUKA ABB) or machine vision systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence).
Proficiency in database integration (SQL Historian) and data analytics for OEE or predictive maintenance.
Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity principles and network architecture (e.g. Purdue Model).
Project management experience or certification (e.g. PMP) for automation initiatives.
