Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes (e.g. PLCs HMIs SCADA robotics).
- Program configure and commission industrial control systems and robotic applications.
- Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve complex issues with automated manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Optimize existing automation processes to enhance efficiency quality and production throughput.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production maintenance engineering) on automation projects and improvements.
- Ensure all automation systems comply with safety standards regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Perform preventative maintenance calibration and upgrades on automation hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation systems programs and procedures.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Mechanical Automation or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens Rockwell Automation) and HMI/SCADA development.
- 3 years of hands-on experience designing implementing and troubleshooting industrial automation systems in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g. EtherNet/IP PROFINET) and sensor technologies.
- Experience with robotics integration and programming (e.g. Fanuc KUKA ABB).
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex technical issues and optimize automated production processes.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with industrial robotics (e.g. FANUC KUKA ABB) or machine vision systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence).
- Proficiency in database integration (SQL Historian) and data analytics for OEE or predictive maintenance.
- Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity principles and network architecture (e.g. Purdue Model).
- Project management experience or certification (e.g. PMP) for automation initiatives.
