QA Engineer - Job Profile

Location: Fort Lauderdale FL

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality reliability and performance of our SaaS platform. This role requires expertise in manual and automated testing strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving software issues.

The QA Engineer will play a critical role in defining implementing and maintaining test strategies that ensure the delivery of high-quality software. This individual will collaborate closely with product managers developers and DevOps teams to establish best practices and enhance test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of test automation API testing performance testing and CI/CD processes.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Execution:

• Develop document and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for web-based SaaS applications.
  

• Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality performance security and usability.
  

• Ensure test coverage across UI API database and end-to-end workflows.
  

Test Automation & Tools:

• Design and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium Cypress or Playwright.
  

• Develop automated tests for regression performance and load testing.
  

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline).
  

Bug Tracking & Reporting:

• Identify document and track defects in JIRA TestRail or similar tools.
  

• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
  

• Provide detailed reports on test progress defects and software quality metrics.
  

Performance & Security Testing:

• Conduct load stress and scalability testing to ensure system reliability.
  

• Work with security teams to implement vulnerability assessments and security best practices.
  

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

• Advocate for shift-left testing and integrate quality practices early in the development cycle.
  

• Define and improve QA best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  

• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  

Qualifications & Experience

Experience:

• 4 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation.
  

• Hands-on experience with Selenium Cypress Playwright or other test automation tools.
  

• Strong expertise in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman RestAssured or SoapUI.
  

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter Locust or Gatling.
  

• Knowledge of database testing (PostgreSQL MySQL) and cloud environments (AWS Azure or GCP).
  

• Familiarity with Agile development and Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
  

Skills:

• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Python Java JavaScript or TypeScript).
  

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  

Certifications (Preferred):

• ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certifications - Preferred
  

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
