EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.
About the Opportunity
EnergyCos Strategy & Policy division plays a pivotal role in shaping the organisation by developing strategies delivering high-quality analysis that supports executive and board decision-making and building relationships with key stakeholders. The Strategy Manager will lead the Strategy team working closely with the Director of Strategy and Relationships to engage leadership set priorities and deliver strategic initiatives.
In this role you will manage EnergyCos corporate strategy function developing strategies aligned with the organisational vision presenting analysis and recommendations to inform leadership decision-making and executing and coordinating initiatives that help achieve our goals.
You will help shape the companys strategic priorities and direction engage and influence internal and external stakeholders and play a key role in positioning EnergyCo for future success. This is a unique chance to have an impact in a dynamic growth industry at the heart of the energy transition.
About You
Youre a proactive and collaborative problem-solver and project manager with strategy experience. You thrive working both autonomously and as part of a team have sound qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and can tackle complex challenges with confidence. You excel at building strong working relationships collaborating across divisions and organisations and influencing through clear communication of complex ideas.
Ideally you have experience in strategy roles such as consulting or in an in-house/corporate strategy function and knowledge of the electricity or energy industry (but those are not essential). Youre skilled at managing projects and leading agile/cross-functional teams with a demonstrated ability to structure and solve problems analyse data and deliver results.
You have a reputation as a trusted partner to your branch division and organisational leaders and are a valued leader within your division.

Who we are
The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Governments Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap which aims to transform the states electricity system into one that is cheap clean and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the States first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs) which are located in the Central-West Orana New England South West Hunter-Central Coast and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities investors and industry to investigate plan recommend and coordinate generation storage and network infrastructure projects.
