Job Summary
Job Title: Medical Assistant (MA) Pediatrics
Location: Flushing NY 11355
Duration: 3 Months
Schedule: MondayFriday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (60-minute break)

Position Overview
The Medical Assistant (MA) supports pediatric providers by delivering safe efficient and compassionate care in a busy outpatient setting. This role includes clinical tasks patient interaction and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and room pediatric patients while ensuring a child-friendly environment.
Obtain and document vital signs patient history and presenting concerns.
Assist providers with examinations procedures and treatments.
Perform phlebotomy specimen collection and point-of-care testing as needed.
Administer vaccines under provider direction (if permitted by training and policy).
Prepare exam rooms maintain supplies and ensure infection control compliance.
Enter accurate information into the EMR (EPIC experience preferred).
Coordinate scheduling referrals and patient follow-up.
Support the front desk with administrative duties when necessary.
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all safety and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program.
Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA-CMA AMT-RMA).
1 year of experience in a pediatric healthcare setting or physician practice.
Experience using EPIC.
