As a Locum Pediatrician you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical care to children and adolescents. Your expertise will help ensure that our patients receive timely and effective treatment making a significant impact on their health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to pediatric patients
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat a variety of pediatric conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Stay informed about advancements in pediatric medicine
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Experience in pediatric care (Associate level preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to patients
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 7x 24-hour call shifts per month
Level II Nursery
Daily Volume: 2-3 patients
Duties: Attend vaginal deliveries if requested attend all scheduled and emergent c-sections admit/discharge newborns admit/care for pediatric patients and perform circumcisions
Required Procedures: Circumcisions newborn resuscitation/intubations/UVC and lumbar punctures
Support Staff: Nurses anesthesia OB/GYNs respiratory therapists and local pediatricians
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
