Job Summary
Location: Seattle Office In Person
Specialization: Administration Civil Litigation
At Smith Freed Eberhard we do more than just practice law we set new standards in legal excellence. Specializing in civil defense work our Seattle office is on the lookout for a File this role you will provide legal office administrative support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Managing reception desk i.e. greeting clients answering/transferring calls accepting orders etc.
- Index and file pleadings/correspondence
- Organize files for legal teams
- Copying and scanning documents for case files
- Creating case binders
- Filing of closed cases
- Special projects as assigned
- Distributing mail throughout the firm posting mail and completing mail runs
- Ordering office supplies and various in-office meals
- Event planning for office
- Setting up and cleaning conference rooms
- Coordinating with Accounting department for check disbursements
- Coordinating IT set-up for new hires
- Cleaning and organizing throughout the office
- Delivering documents to the court when necessary
- Must be able to work in-office Monday through Friday 8-5pm
- 1 years experience working within a professional office setting
- Prior law firm experience a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and levels of management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting at $22 23/hour depending on experience
