Job Summary

About The Role

Were seeking a skilled Commercial Account Associate to support our Complex Risk Unit team in Toronto. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical proficiency excellent time management and a solid background in property and casualty insurance. Youll play a key role in account servicing client support and operational efficiency.

What Youll Do

  • Manage client communications respond to inquiries and prepare renewal packages certificates and policy summaries.

  • Support client meetings with accurate documentation and thorough preparation.

  • Set up and maintain compliant client files (digital and physical) according to HUB standards.

  • Perform policy reviews calculate provincial taxes and prepare premium finance quotes.

  • Submit insurance applications to underwriters follow up on responses and support market negotiations.

  • Track expirations manage abeyances and ensure timely issuance of binders policies and other documents.

  • Oversee account receivables invoicing and assist with collections to meet Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) targets.

  • Maintain data accuracy in broker systems produce reports and respond to third-party information requests.

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

  • Valid RIBO license Required

  • Typically 3 years of commercial insurance experience

  • Experience in market negotiations on commercial policies is an asset

  • Strong aptitude to learn new risks along with a desire to keep up to date with emerging trends

  • Results-oriented and passionate with a strong sense of accountability and client management skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills

  • A Solid team player who also possesses independence of thought

  • Proactive client-focused approach with effective negotiation and follow-up skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word Excel (formulas and pivot tables) PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Experience with Applied EPIC or similar insurance broker management systems
