Duties and Responsibilities:
- Study of drawing & understand process.
- Selection of supplier to float RFQ.
- Negotiation with supplier on estimation cost.
- Vendor rationalization planning.
- Multiple source planning as per A/B/C category parts.
- Should be aware about the market trends in steel prices and should be able to forecast the price rise thereby
- giving management an insight of right time of procurement. Daily dispatch planning.
- Coordination with store department for loading/ Unloading of material.
- Decision making & execution of critical situation to deliver required quality material.
- MIS report to generate & preparation of Weekly Review Meeting with internal stack holder.
- Risk identification and proactive action on critical items.
- Drawing related issue discussion with supplier and providing solution.
- Coordination with Design/PPC/ Manufacturing & internal stake holders.
- Planning to Achieve OTDIF.
- Supplier upgradation with review and visits.
- Skill matrix & performance mapping of supplier.
- Evaluation of supplier and GMP trainings at supplier end to deliver material in GSPL standard.
- Working in CFT for New product development/New vendor development
- Responsible for SCM activity to execute development of part at supplier end.
- PPAP documents to get prepare and submit for part approval.
- Develop ready to use assembly to support in house production.
- Green channel supplier drive to control COPQ. (Cost of Poor Quality).
- Identify New vendor to cater Internal customer need.
- Bonding with supplier to inline mutual goals & Objectives.
- Identify Non-Value added processes to squeeze Manufacturing time.
- Alternate process identification to save cost & time.
- Coordination with Design & quality to process planning & control.
- Value Engineering to eliminate waste.
