Job Summary

Summary:

To lead and manage all HR functions across the dealership group ensuring alignment with business objectives fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting operational efficiency across all dealership outlets.


1. HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the dealership groups business goals.
  • Advise senior management on HR matters workforce planning and talent development.
  • Lead initiatives to build a high-performance culture across all dealership branches.

2. Recruitment & Talent Management

  • Oversee recruitment for all positions from dealership management to service technicians sales consultants and administrative staff.
  • Develop talent acquisition strategies to attract skilled automotive professionals.
  • Lead succession planning career path development and internal promotion programs.
  • Implement onboarding and orientation programs tailored for dealership operations.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR policies conflict resolution and disciplinary matters.
  • Promote employee engagement initiatives to reduce turnover and enhance workplace satisfaction.
  • Monitor employee morale and address concerns proactively especially in high-turnover areas like sales and service.

4. Performance Management

  • Design and implement performance appraisal systems for dealership staff.
  • Align KPI frameworks for sales teams service technicians and support functions.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance improvement plans.

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Develop competitive compensation and incentive structures for sales service and administrative staff.
  • Oversee payroll allowances and benefits administration.
  • Regularly benchmark salaries and benefits within the automotive retail sector.

6. Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs across sales service and management teams.
  • Implement leadership development programs for dealership managers.
  • Conduct compliance and safety training especially for service workshop staff.

7. HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with Malaysian labor laws and automotive industry regulations.
  • Maintain HR records and reports across multiple dealership locations.
  • Manage HR systems (HRIS) and automate processes where possible for efficiency.

8. Organizational Development

  • Support dealership group in change management initiatives.
  • Recommend organizational structure improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration between sales service and administrative teams.

9. Employer Branding

  • Promote the dealership group as an employer of choice in the automotive industry.
  • Develop initiatives to attract and retain top talent in competitive markets.

KPIs / Success Metrics

  • Employee turnover rate especially among sales and service staff.
  • Recruitment efficiency and time-to-hire.
  • Employee engagement and satisfaction scores.
  • Compliance with labor regulations and internal policies.
  • Training completion rates and effectiveness.
  • Contribution to dealership profitability through optimized workforce management.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience preferably in retail automotive or multi-site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and performance management systems.
