Job Summary

ING Australia are looking to recruit a Project Manager to work with our Financial Health team in the COO division on an 18-month fixed term contract.

The Financial Health team is responsible for managing ING Australias teams working on financial hardship and collections activities with significant regulatory oversight.

The Project Manager in the Financial Health function plays a crucial role in driving the business unit and the companys growth development and achievement of strategic objectives. The primary purpose of this role is to drive end-to-end execution of complex projects and organisational change for Financial Health.

What youll do

  • Support Initiative Owners in the design mobilisation and execution of complex change.
  • Lead initiatives through the end-to-end project management lifecycle in line with global and local governance and best practices
  • Ensure adherence to the ING financial governance requirements including transparency on cost and benefits and timely and accurate reporting project financials
  • Establish appropriate project governance reporting escalation and feedback loops to ensure appropriate management issues risks and milestones
  • Adhere to agreed project management processes and ensure quality /timeliness of deliverables (e.g. Delivery Playbook criteria met Risk assessments completed and submitted to Non-Financial Risk Committee prior to delivery release)
  • Facilitate identification calculation of benefits for the initiative and establish cost and benefits realisation measures in line with Benefits and Value Management Framework
  • Drive effective stakeholder engagement and communications through a range of channels and practices in line with the expectations of the stakeholder group


What were looking for

  • 10 years experience delivering change / projects / initiatives
  • 10 years experience planning controlling and implementing multiple projects up to $5m in a highly regulated environment.
  • 10 years experience in managing system implementation data and/or regulatory reporting projects
  • Degree qualification in a business management or finance discipline
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Management of Portfolios PMI Prince 2 AIPM)
  • Proven experience in managing different stakeholder groups including up to Executive level
  • Experience in one or more relevant domains (e.g. Retail Wholesale Finance Risk CIO COO)
  • Demonstrated experience utilising both agile and waterfall methodologies to successfully deliver projects
  • Project accounting / finance management
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and deep understanding of the regulatory framework impacting collections and hardship
