The Zonal Business Head for the Banca Channel is responsible for leading and managing the sales teams across the designated zone developing and executing business strategies to drive revenue growth enhance partnerships with banks and ensure the seamless delivery of life insurance products through the bancassurance model. This role requires strong leadership strategic thinking and the ability to build long-lasting relationships with banking partners and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Zonal Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement the sales strategy for the assigned zone ensuring alignment with corporate sales targets and business objectives. Collaborate with senior management to define sales goals set targets and drive the overall success of the bancassurance channel. Analyze market trends and adjust strategies to optimize business development opportunities across the zone. Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead mentor and manage a team of Area Managers Relationship Managers and Sales Personnel in the Banca Channel. Establish clear goals and KPIs for the team monitor performance and provide feedback to ensure high sales productivity. Drive a high-performance culture ensuring the team is motivated and equipped with the necessary tools and training to succeed. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching to improve individual and team outcomes. Bancassurance Partnership Management: Foster and maintain strong long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in partner banks. Ensure effective collaboration with the banking partners to promote and sell life insurance products and manage day-to-day operational activities. Work closely with bank relationship managers to identify business opportunities resolve issues and implement joint marketing and sales initiatives. Business Development & Lead Generation: Oversee lead generation customer acquisition and retention strategies within the banca channel. Ensure the sales team proactively targets new business opportunities and develops relationships with prospective customers. Promote new product offerings and ensure alignment with market demands and customer preferences. Customer Engagement & Retention: Drive customer-centric initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. Implement programs that support policy renewals cross-selling and upselling within the banking partners customer base. Ensure that customer inquiries are addressed efficiently and that customer service standards are maintained. Operational Excellence & Process Management: Monitor and ensure adherence to internal sales processes compliance guidelines and regulatory standards in all bancassurance transactions. Work closely with operations teams to streamline processes improve efficiency and reduce operational challenges within the zone. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales performance team achievements and market trends. Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends and areas of opportunity for business growth. Provide insights to senior management regarding market conditions customer behavior and competitor strategies. Make strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on market feedback and competitor activity. Training & Development: Design and implement training programs to enhance product knowledge sales techniques and leadership skills for the banca sales teams.
