The Shared Services Division is a centralized hub that delivers high-quality efficient and customer-focused administrative servicessuch as HR finance procurement IT and facilities managementto support the universitys strategic and operational goals. By streamlining processes reducing duplication and partnering with faculties and business units it enables academic and professional areas to focus on core teaching research and engagement.

The Service Desk Officer is part of a customer-focused team providing a single point of contact for the UOW community for IT services incidents and requests. The role is responsible for providing first level support problem diagnosing resolution and escalation as required. This role requires participation in a shift roster between locations including outside of standard business hours currently between the hours of 8am to 10pm Monday to Friday.
