We create advanced analytics applications in the Financial Crime and Fraud Prevention (FCFP) domain. We are tackling fundamental high impact problems in the financial services industry. The team

Leads a chapter sets the standards for the chapter area and takes responsibility for developing innovating and safeguarding knowledge in the field of expertise to deliver technical activities related to the continuous delivery of working services for the organization and its customers. Develops and leads people to meet both their individual goals career goals organizations goals. Delivers and maintains IT applications and services in order to realize the organizations strategy in the field of information technology.


Roles and responsibilities
s we continue our growth and establishing the added value data science and machine learning will bring to this transformation journey we seek a leader for our data science chapter. This means you have to be a hands-on coach. A Chapter lead role splits his/her time 50-50 over engineering and leading a chapter.

  • You hierarchically oversee a chapter of 10-12 engineers. This covers the recruiting of new talents administration personal development and evaluation of your Chapter members.

  • You inspire and encourage your Chapter members to develop themselves providing them coaching on both the professional as well as the personal level.

  • Support & structure the growth and career trajectories of our outstanding Data & ML Engineers.

  • Challenge the status-quo & accelerate our work and capabilities to transition from building models to delivering state-of-the-art data products.

  • Enable our squads to make an impact and drive the growing process we undergo as an analytics group.

  • Promote advanced analytics approaches in the KYC domain and drive the business transformation together with our key stakeholders.

  • You have at least 10 years of (global) work experience in Data Analytics and Machine Learning (methods technology data)

  • You have experience in architecting & building analytics solutions from prototype to deployment

  • You have a proven track record of developing people and knowledge through coaching or mentoring

  • You have experience in leading teams to drive results and interact with (senior level) stakeholders

  • You have good oratory and presentation skills

  • You have experience in implementing analytics solutions in Agile ways of working

  • You have vast experience in understanding complex AI/ML problems and ability to devise best optimal ways of implementation.

  • You inspire and encourage your Chapter members to develop themselves providing them coaching on both the professional as well as the personal level.

What skills are we looking for:

  • Masters degree with excellent academic results in the field of Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or similar.

  • Excellent understanding of Data Engineering Analytics and machine learning applications & algorithms.

  • Knowledge of big data tools and frameworks (Hadoop Spark).

  • Experience in data manipulation and transformation using Scala/Python/Spark/SQL

  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence reporting & visualization tools e.g. Cognos PowerBI

  • Deployment and provisioning automation tools e.g. Docker Kubernetes Openshift CI/CD

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are non-negotiable.
