Job Summary
Job Title: Locum Physician - Neonatology
Join a dedicated team at a Level III NICU located in Redding California. This facility is a Level II Trauma Center that offers exceptional care and support for neonates and their families. You will have the opportunity to work with a skilled support staff including NICU nurses and Family Practice Residents. If youre passionate about making a difference in neonatal care this is the role for you!
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care within the NICU rounding at least once daily.
- Cover calls from nursing staff as required by patient conditions.
- Perform required procedures including ventilatory assistance surfactant administration and more.
- Supervise and teach Family Practice Residents during their rotation.
- Coordinate with various medical staff including laborists and pediatric hospitalists.
- Manage patient admissions with daily NICU census ranging between 7-12 patients.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Eligible in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine.
- Active California State Medical License.
- Current certifications in BLS NRP and DEA.
- Experience covering neonatology services.
- Clean malpractice history.
License and Certification Requirements:
- California State Medical License REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice history REQUIRED
- Provider must be a paneled member of California Children Services (CCS) REQUIRED
