Job Summary
Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Neonatology in Redding CA
Join a reputable healthcare facility in Redding California at a Level III NICU renowned for its commitment to providing exceptional care to neonates. This locum physician position offers the chance to work in a vibrant community as part of a dedicated team. You will round in the NICU and cover calls from nursing staff ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained for our patients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Round in the NICU at least once per day and respond to calls from nursing staff as patient conditions require.
- Provide necessary procedures including ventilatory assistance and administration of cardiac pressors.
- Supervise and teach Family Practice Residents during their Nursery rotation.
- Coordinate with NICU nurses and ensure proper patient care protocols are followed.
- Maintain documentation using Cerner Care B EMR.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Eligible in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine.
- Substantial recent experience covering neonatology services (not pediatrics).
- Clean malpractice history.
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active state medical license.
- BLS NRP and DEA certifications during credentialing.
- Must be recognized as a paneled member of California Children Services (CCS).
