The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Training Event Manager in the International Trade Division to plan and implement live training events and webinars to educate Virginia businesses on international trade topics. This role does not involve directly delivering training; instead the manager identifies and engages subject matter experts to present on relevant topics.
VEDP offers webinars and in-person training to help Virginia businesses grow international sales providing expert guidance on a range of topics and encouraging knowledge-sharing among Virginia businesses. The Manager coordinates all aspects of event planning including scheduling securing relevant speakers contracting with venues managing logistics and promoting events.
This position is part of VEDPs International Trade Division which is recognized as the leading state international trade development program in the U.S. The International Trade Division provides a range of resources such as customized market research international business meetings and programs to help Virginia companies grow their international sales. This position is based in VEDPs office in Richmond Virginia three days each week and has the option to telework two days each week according to VEDPs hybrid work policy. This position requires occasional in-state travel.
