Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Train mentor and assist hangar staff with issuing and returning tools;
- Assist management team in Hangar tool control program;
- Manage the Bagotville (YBG) tool crib;
- Ensure serviceability of tools tool components and completeness of tools / tool kits;
- Ensure serviceability of Ground Service Equipment;
- Coordinates calibration of tools;
- Coordinate and ensure of tooling/equipment transfer between MOB and deployment trailer;
- Coordinate and ensure the deployment trailer when visiting or stored at the base;
- Monitor transfer of equipment in Aircraft Maintenance System (AMS);
- Support YBG supply chain team when required;
- Create purchasing order/ repair order for purchasing and repair of calibration of tooling and ground service equipment;
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor;
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Appropriate experience in a similar role an asset;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers in French. English a significant asset;
- Computer proficiency (MS Office Word Excel and Outlook). Experience with Sharepoint an asset;
- Team player but able to work independently with minimal supervision to carry out tasks within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines and standard accepted practices;
- Reliable accountable and have good communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines and standard accepted practices;
- Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Excellence Service Integrity Together.
- Position requires Level II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
Working Conditions:
- Shift working (day night and weekend);
- Work outside in extreme weather;
- Travel may be required for the position.
Supervisory Training and Advisory Responsibilities:
- Forklift operator license;
Occupational Health and Safety:
Employees are responsible for:
- Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations
- Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment
- Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately
Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:
Position requires Level II clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
