:59 PMRadio-Canada Acadie in Moncton is looking for a speaker/close captioner assigned to the Telejournal Acadie and other variety programs.
Your role
As a speaker/close captioner you will be using voice recognition software closed-caption live programs for the deaf and hearing impaired. You will also have to transcribe and broadcast the content of program as closed captions for the deaf and hearing impaired in keeping in accordance with Corporation standards and policies.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent.
Three (3) years relevant experience including two (2) as a Closed Captioner.
Skills:
Vast general knowledge.
Knowledge of current events and newsmakers.
Ability to work under pressure priority management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of software that controls caption display.
Knowledge of voice recognition software.
Good knowledge of the MS Office suite and of computers.
Fluent in the working language (French).
Knowledge of the other official language (English) is an asset.
Candidates may be subject to skills testing.
Selected candidates will be subject to the following tests:
French tests.
Interview.
Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
