Your role

We are searching for an experienced Automation Developer As part of the Radio-Canada Digital Media team you will play an active role in creating innovative projects on Radio-Canadas major platforms such as Radio-Canada INFO Olympic Games coverage OHdio RCI and Mordu. You will take an active role in our development of our current platforms. Youll be called upon to develop our test tooling suite adapting it to the needs of our deployment operations.

Your role will be to ensure the creation and automation of tests for the CMS team. You will participate in integrating these tests into our continuous development process and monitoring their proper functioning. You will also collaborate with the project manager to plan the implementation of tests and also the implementation of various testing environments (integrated load performance etc.). At CBC/Radio-Canada the quality of our products is very important and you will therefore be called upon to collaborate with various stakeholders to elaborate a quality solution for our clients.

Main responsibilities

• Analyze the feasibility of automating test cases for the project

• Update test cases in our development test management tool (Testrail)

• Automate test cases established by our quality assurance analysts from the applications UI

• Produce test reports that confirm coverage and identify results based on operations.

• Document and track anomalies detected in common tools

• Ensure that solutions meet operational efficiency objectives

• Document technological changes for training and collaboration purposes.

• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprints scrums demos retros ...) as well as application deployments;

• Participate in code reviews.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

Technologies

• Proficiency in Git

• Advanced knowledge of Python

• Knowledge of Azure Devops Deployment Pipelines

• Knowledge of Monorepo concepts

• Knowledge of Robot Framework

• Knowledge of Testrail

• Knowledge of Postman

• Knowledge of Docker

• Knowledge of A11Y (ATAG) concepts an asset

• Understanding of MongoDB and ElasticSearch principles

• Understanding of the OAuth 2.0 protocol an asset

• Understanding of REST API principles;

• Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure DevOps suite

Skills and experience

• Thorough self-reliant proactive resourceful and team-focused;

• 3 to 5 years of backend development experience or University degree

• Solid command of French mandatory; working knowledge of English spoken and written an asset.
