Location: Selby
Salary: 22000 - 28000
Working Pattern: Full-time Permanent
Experience required: 12 months experience in conveyancing (sales and purchase)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Conveyancing Assistant to join busy property teams at a well-established law firms Selby office. This role involves working with both residential and new build property teams.
The role is very client-focused and the successful candidate will pride themselves on delivering a professional helpful and friendly service. Experience in conveyancing is essential specifically sales and purchase as our client would ideally want the applicant to hit the ground running.
You will be a quick and accurate worker and be able to follow instructions carefully while dealing with a high volume of work with a lot of client return the firm offers a supportive learning environment with the opportunity to develop and progress your career.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conveyancing Support:
- Assisting with residential and new build property transactions
- Supporting solicitors with sales and purchase matters
- Managing a high volume of work efficiently
- Following instructions carefully and accurately
- Client Communication:
- Providing a professional helpful and friendly service
- Handling a lot of client contact throughout transactions
- Keeping clients informed of progress
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Documentation & Administration:
- Preparing and processing conveyancing documents
- Conducting property searches and reviewing results
- Liaising with estate agents mortgage lenders and other parties
- Ensuring accuracy in all documentation and data entry
- Case Management:
- Assisting with the progression of sales and purchase transactions
- Managing multiple files simultaneously
- Meeting deadlines and targets
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Team Collaboration:
- Working collaboratively with residential and new build property teams
- Supporting colleagues to ensure smooth transaction completions
- Contributing to a positive team environment
- Sharing knowledge and best practices

Essential Requirements:
- Experience:
- 12 months experience in conveyancing (sales and purchase)
- Experience in a similar fast-paced role
- Proven ability to handle high-volume workloads
- Strong client-facing experience
- Quick and accurate worker
- Ability to follow instructions carefully
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office
- Client-focused with a professional helpful and friendly approach
