Job DescriptionPurpose of the job: The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for tracking monitoring and scheduling DetNet s projects of varying size and complexity. Responsibilities include working closely with the Engineering Programs Manager and Project Leaders to prepare comprehensive project plans including schedules resources and budgets for projects in accordance with DetNet Design Process.
Coordinate programme management activities resources equipment and information.
Break projects into tasks actions and set timelines according to DetNets Design Process.
Assign tasks to internal teams and external teams and assist with schedule management.
Assist the Project Lead in the drafting and finalization of project charters budgets and cash flows.
Analyse project issues and risks.
Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that arise.
Create and maintain comprehensive programme documentation plans and reports.
Attend project meetings and assist with the determination of project requirements.
Track and monitor the progress of projects on the project system.
Provide regular reports to all stakeholders on the status and health projects.
Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans work hours budgets and project expenditures.
Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to management and project team.
Monitor resource utilisation.
Liaise with consultants to prepare the required documents for the Research and Development Tax Incentive Report.
Ensures project phase signoffs.
Qualifications & ExperienceQualifications Knowledge and Skills Requirements
Grade 12 certificate/Matric.
Project Management Diploma or equivalent.
3 years experience in programme/project coordination.
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management together with
project management techniques and tools.
Strong programme/project finance experience - planning tracking and preparation of forecasted
spends.
Engineering experience would be advantageous.
Sciforma system knowledge would be advantageous.

- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
