Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in the fruit export industry. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is eager to build a career in international logistics and supply chain management. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating shipments liaising with cold stores transporters freight forwarders and shipping lines to ensure smooth export operations.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom degree in Logistics Marketing or International Trade
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
• Valid drivers license
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Proficiency in MS Office

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with cold stores transporters freight forwarders and shipping lines
• Manage shipping line bookings and documentation
• Perform Q67 checks and reconcile forecasts vs. stock levels
• Issue loading notifications and monitor container ages for steri market failures
• Prepare and review temperature deviation reports
• Provide vessel updates for all markets
• Update and maintain fuel prices and transport rates
• Negotiate transport with transport companies
• Send packing specifications to packhouses as per client requirements
• Verify packing orders against pack outs
• Reconcile stocks from packhouses
• Verify and reconcile all packing information
• Arrange packing lists and invoices for freight forwarders
• Allocate stock to markets according to packing specifications
• Send packing plans and invoices to clients
• Prepare and send loading plans to markets
• Ensure timely receipt of shipping documents from freight forwarders
• Update all quality specifications on in-house systems for all markets
