Background
MTRCLs Procurement and Supply Chain (P&SC) function oversees circa HKD 15 billion annual expenditure with 2000 suppliers servicing Transport Operations Properties and Corporate Services business users in Hong Kong. With over 100 procurement professionals we deliver excellent services on strategic planning sourcing contracting and post award management of end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
A new ERP system is being implemented and this new system is a critical pillar of P&SCs transformation program. It will deliver enhanced digital experiences and new capabilities across source-to-contract procure-to-pay and supplier management processes and enable the function to operate efficiently and deliver better commercial value and service delivery commitments to the Business.
We are looking for an experienced professional to join the ERP Project team within the Procurement & Supply Chain workstream. This team member must be self-driven and techno-functional to support testing provide input for the process and functional design as well as support the System implementer and internal team with the System implementation and roll out Procurement related modules.
Responsibilities
- Report to ERP-P&SC Workstream Lead and be responsible for execution and delivery of the pre-requisites needed for the ERP system implementation activities such as test scenarios functional design documents process validation and validating the data after migration etc. for Procurement Functions
- Work on project plan and provide deliverables in a timely and professional manner with strong focus on quality deliverables
- Carry out Procurement related functional activities such as system integration tests and user acceptance tests for Procurement Modules validation of data conversion results and set up of Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence (BI) for Procurement Dashboards and reports etc.
- Partner with other procurement team members internal business stakeholders IT team and ERP system implementation consultants through engagement and collaboration to assist execution of cross-functional initiatives uplifting system capabilities to enhance overall business processes
- Execute the mock / cutover activities and participate in the pilot run and provide post-go-live support along with other business-related computer systems
- Develop business process documentation & guideline and educational resources to support continuous learning system familiarization and communication with other end users
- Support the related ERP training activities and the supplier enablement activities throughout the pilot run and testing stages and strive for continuous improvement initiatives to cultivate efficiency and effective workplace as well as support the Change Management activities
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration / Procurement / Supply Chain Management or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Exposure in implementing large scale ERP system (e.g. Oracle or SAP) through complicated changes is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and also work independently with strong organizational and effective communication skills.
- Prior experience in public utilities and/or transportation industries is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and willingness to share learning and voice opinions
