Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct market studies to understand consumer behavior preferences and trends in convenience retail.
- Analyze competitors pricing strategies and product offerings to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Monitor local and international retail innovations for potential adaptation.
Product & Service Development
- Propose new product lines services and store concepts tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate with procurement and merchandising teams to test and launch new items.
- Evaluate product performance and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
Business Strategy Support
- Assist in developing short- and long-term strategies for mart expansion and profitability.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for store layout promotions and inventory planning.
- Support feasibility studies for new mart and Retail station locations or formats.
Innovation & Technology
- Explore and recommend retail technologies (e.g. POS systems self-checkout digital loyalty programs).
- Stay updated on sustainability practices and propose eco-friendly initiatives.
Reporting & Presentation
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on research findings and development progress.
- Track KPIs related to product performance customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.
Main Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Economics or related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 35 years of experience in retail research product development or business strategy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and presentation software.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience in convenience store or FMCG sector is a plus.
