Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Plant Fitter with surface Drill Rig Experience to join their team.
The core purpose of this role is to keep surface drill rigs running reliably for projects. This is achieved by inspecting troubleshooting and repairing surface drill rigs components timeously.

Main Responsibilities:
- Perform both scheduled (preventive) and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance on all surface drill-rig equipment to ensure maximum operational availability.
- Carry out new installations modifications and upgrades on surface drill-rig systems following engineering specifications and safety protocols.
- Conduct daily inspections and routine operational checks on surface drill-rig machinery to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Ensure all maintenance inspection and modification work is accurately documented for record keeping compliance and historical tracking.
- Read and interpret technical drawings schematics and blueprints to accurately machine and fabricate components as specified.
Key Skills:
- Sound knowledge of surface drill-rig components.
- Hands-on experience in diagnosing and carrying out maintenance on surface drill rigs preferably Pantera or ZEGA models.
- Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems
Requirements:
- Class 1 Apprentice trained Diesel Plant Fitter.
- Five (5) 0 Level passes including Mathematics and English.
- At least 3 years post apprenticeship experience with surface drill rigs.
