About the opportunity

Your Purpose:
As a key finance professional you will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing all financial data preparing accurate financial statements and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Your role will involve cost and revenue analysis to support the companys financial strategy and investments. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting budgeting and statutory compliance while optimizing financial processes.
Your Responsibilities:
In this role you will analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances and prepare monthly schedules such as pre-payments fixed assets accruals and provisions. You will process monthly journals reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure payroll transactions are correctly recorded. Your duties will also include reconciling long-term borrowings signing off bank and supplier reconciliations and ensuring all statutory filings such as taxes and VAT are completed on time.
Additionally you will support external audits including BEE compliance audits and assist in cash flow forecasting while driving reductions in Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). You will be responsible for ensuring that financial accounting and reporting adhere to statutory and corporate requirements maintaining an effective internal control environment and ensuring all reports meet deadlines. Ad-hoc financial tasks may also be assigned as needed.
Whats Required:
To be successful in this role you must have a Matric/Grade 12 qualification and a Degree or Diploma in Finance or Accounting. A minimum of 7 years experience in a similar financial role is required. You must have a solid understanding of IFRS and be proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills attention to detail and the ability to manage financial tasks efficiently are essential.
You should possess strong written and verbal communication skills the ability to coordinate teamwork effectively and excellent time management skills. A proactive mindset accountability and the ability to perform under pressure are crucial for success in this role. Maintaining positive working relationships with other departments is also essential.
