Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy and Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive ERIT branding and visibility strategy.
- Ensure consistent use of ERITs visual identity tone and messaging across all platforms and outputs.
- Manage ERITs digital presence including website social media and multimedia channels.
- Design and oversee production of corporate materials (brochures reports infographics branded merchandise etc.).
Strategic Communications and Media Relations:
- Develop and execute communication plans for ERIT programmes initiatives and events.
- Build and maintain relationships with media houses education journalists and thought platforms.
- Coordinate press releases op-eds and media features that project ERITs reform impact.
- Support the CEO and programme leads in preparing public statements speeches and presentations.
Content Development and Storytelling:
- Translate technical work (research reports programme outcomes) into accessible and compelling stories.
- Manage production of videos podcasts and multimedia content showcasing ERITs work.
- Develop newsletters blogs and social media campaigns to sustain engagement with ERITs audiences.
Thought Leadership and Reform Visibility:
- Curate and promote ERITs voice in education discourse through quotes knowledge briefs and interviews.
- Collaborate with programme teams to communicate lessons learned best practices and policy insights.
- Support the establishment and operation of the ERIT In-House Media and Content Studio to drive reform visibility.
- Coordinate and manage the use of the ERIT In-House Studio to record video lessons for curriculum resources and specialised courses for education functionaries capacity development.
- Coordinate the hosting and anchoring of ERIT media programmes The Convo Podcast Expert Panel Sessions One-on-One Interviews etc.
Internal Communications and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Strengthen internal communication systems to promote teamwork and organisational coherence.
- Coordinate communication with government partners donors and collaborators.
- Ensure alignment of all communication outputs with ERITs strategic priorities and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Communications Media Public Relations Journalism or related field (Masters degree an advantage).
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in communications branding or media roles within development education or reform sectors.
- Proven experience managing institutional branding and multi-platform communication strategies.
- Excellent writing editing and visual storytelling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical or policy information into clear engaging content.
- Strong digital communication skills (social media strategy web management content creation tools).
- Experience working with donor-funded programmes government partners or NGOs is desirable.
- Strategic thinking and attention to detail.
