Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  2. Have at least five (5) years of experience in operations management within a commercial printing environment or equivalent vocational experience.
  3. Have supervisory experience in printing graphic arts and reprographics in a commercial shop or in-plant setting.
  4. Possess working knowledge of the following software programs (preferred): Print Shop Pro Prisma Sync Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and/or Google Workspace (Docs Sheets and Slides).
  5. Possess working knowledge of the following graphic design software (preferred): Adobe InDesign Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
  6. Be physically capable of lifting cartons of paper and working in a moving and standing position for regular hours.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

250 days

SALARY:

$60208 (BA-3)

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Direct the day-to-day activities of print center staff ensuring efficiency safety and productivity.
  2. Maintain an accurate filing system for work orders and all other departmental data.
  3. Operate all reprographic equipment proficiently in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  4. Maintain technical skills necessary for professional print processes across various sizes and weights of stock.
  5. Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of paper chemicals and office supplies for the Printing Center.
  6. Supervise routine maintenance of reprographic equipment including cleaning lubrication and inspections to ensure high standards of efficiency and safety in the work area.
  7. Perform clerical tasks as required including processing purchase orders work orders correspondence and monthly billing within the Printing Center.
  8. Instruct and train personnel in the safe and effective operation and maintenance of print center equipment.
  9. Possess advanced troubleshooting skills for copier and printer issues across school environments.
  10. Supervise and counsel production employees regarding production techniques quality control and productivity.
  11. Demonstrate strong customer service skills guiding customers through all phases of printing from design to delivery.
  12. Manage human resources tasks related to staff absences late arrivals basic policies and performance concerns.
  13. Provide effective oral and written communication and direction regarding complex situations production challenges and deadlines.
  14. Conduct annual performance evaluations for all assigned personnel.
  15. Assist in recruitment efforts including candidate interviews and hiring recommendations in collaboration with the Manager and Assistant Director of Support Services.
  16. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management and/or the Director of Support Services.
  17. Support the Print Center department through regular and reliable attendance.

Continual walking standing climbing stooping bending kneeling and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying; work around machinery with moving parts.
