Synergie Australia is seeking a Frauds & Scams Officerfor atrusted financial institution located in Parramatta.

The important parts:

Pay: $40$45 per hour Super Duration:12-month contract (view to permanent)
Hours: MondaySaturday rotating roster between 8:00am8:00pm 38 hrs per week
Training:Onsite for three weeks 9-5pm

What you will be required to do:

Youll handle 2025 calls per day managing cases with empathy and precision while supporting broader fraud prevention strategies. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact in safeguarding people and their finances.

Manage inbound calls related to fraud and scam investigations
Conduct detailed case reviews gather evidence and liaise with internal teams
Identify fraud patterns to prevent future financial loss
Maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal policies
Recommend process improvements to strengthen fraud detection measures
Training will be provided over approximately 3 weeks
Attend in office for the first 6 months of employment with potential to transition to a hybrid working arrangement based on performance outcomes.
The Frauds and Scams team operates 24/7 365 days per year. Shifts will be between 8am - 8pm however flexibility will be needed for weekends and other times as required

To be successful in the role you will:

2 years experience in banking financial services or fraud prevention
Strong investigative analytical and communication skills
High emotional intelligence and ability to support customers in distress
Excellent time management and attention to detail
