Mō te tūranga About the role
As an Administrator you will play a crucial role in supporting our team by providing administrative recruitment and office support functions to the village in order to ensure smooth running of the operations.
The Administrator is part of a wider team including housekeeping laundry kitchen maintenance caregivers and healthcare professionals working Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Village Manager with administrative requirements including simple reports generation basic HR-support and appropriate secretarial assistance when required.
- Assisting the Village Manager with administrative requirements including inductions recruitment training performance reviews and payroll assistance. Ensuring all accounts-related documentations (i.e. petty cash record purchase orders receipts invoices etc.) are properly monitored maintained and communicated.
- Overseeing the villages staff roster by collaborating with staff team leaders/managers and the Village Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring Office-related budget requirements are met by practicing good economics in ordering maintaining and stocking required equipment/supplies and discussing budget requirement with the Village Manager as appropriate.
- Maintaining knowledge of resources available within the village.

Strength and competence in a similar role. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong administration background with the ability to pick up and learn new things quickly
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in recruitment is strongly desired
- An excellent work ethic and ability to contribute to the existing team
- Preference to having worked in a Retirement Village/Aged care setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with roster management desired
