Comcare is an established Mental Health and Housing provider assisting people with mental health and/or addiction issues to live well in the community. We provide a rich and diverse range of Mental Health Support Services Housing and Housing Support Services.


Our Administration team operates under a shared services model and we value collaboration and flexibility looking to optimise skills and deliver exceptional service.

About the role

As a Triage Administrator you will play a key role in ensuring clients and referrers experience a seamless and effective journey from referral to service allocation. This role is vital in ensuring that every referral is processed promptly and correctly helping clients access the support they need.


What youll be doing

  • Managing the administration of client and provider referrals.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate client documentation and correspondence.
  • Assisting with data entry into Comcares client management systems.
  • Handling referrals and client information efficiently accurately and with sensitivity.
  • Support timely engagement and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to enhance the client experience.


About you

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • NCEA Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Competent and confident using the Microsoft Suite (medium to advanced) and a range of other software applications such as databases and client management systems.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service with strong communication skills building positive connections with a diverse range of clients while maintaining a calm empathetic and culturally responsive approach.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience with data entry and record management systems (preferred).
  • A proactive team-oriented approach.

Experience in the mental health and disability sector would be an advantage.

Applicants must hold a current full clean drivers license.

You will have a cultural awareness knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
