Our client is looking for a Junior Contract Administrator

Responsibilities:
- Primarily involved with the importation of commodities in large volumes sourced regionally as well as overseas.
- Organising import permits
- Following each stage of the permit process and ensuring it is done.
- Liaising with suppliers transporters and customers
- Sending out work orders to transporters
- Getting loading schedules from the suppliers and updating the files. Sending those updates to the customer and clearing agents.
- Getting receipts from customers and updating the files and sending updates to suppliers.
- Booking trucks and ensuring they load. Tracking cancellations so dont over or under book.
- Maintaining the booking files and issuing release orders.
- Analysing contracts for trucks / rail wagons that should have come in but havent.
- Checking transporter invoices are correct and recording them. Processing invoices for payment.
- The key is constant follow up with the various issues on each contract and dealing with them to ensure trucks move as quickly as possible to prevent demurrage. Dealing with transporters and any issues arising with their moving of loads
Key Skills
- General computer literacy with emphasis on excel.
- Communication is key within the team and with suppliers and customers
- Attention to detail
- Proactive persistent methodical and analytical

- Experience in logistics is an added advantage
