Our client in the IT sector is looking for a practical hands-on IT Systems Administrator to join their team. This role focuses on day-to-day operational stability user support and infrastructure maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second line IT support to end users.
- Manage user accounts permissions and access control.
- Support Microsoft Windows desktops and laptops.
- Install configure and maintain standard business software.
- Maintain IT asset registers and basic documentation.
- Assist with administration of Windows Servers and Active Directory.
- Monitor system health backups and basic security controls.
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks.
- Assist with server deployments upgrades and patching activities.
- Ensure backups are running and escalate failures appropriately.
- Assist with virtual machine provisioning snapshots and basic administration.
- Support monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure visibility.
- Assist with IP-based security cameras and access control systems.
- Support LAN and WLAN environments.
- Assist with troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
- Perform basic firewall and switch administration under guidance.
- Work with external vendors and ISPs as required.
- Assist with VoIP system administration and troubleshooting.
- Assist senior engineers with infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance and after-hours work when required.
- Escalate issues appropriately and follow internal processes.
- Maintain a stable well-documented IT environment.
Key Skills:
- Strong practical troubleshooting skills across hardware software and networks.
- Ability to support end users in a Windows-based environment.
- Practical experience with Active Directory and user/computer management.
- Experience supporting LAN and WLAN networks.
- Basic experience with virtualization platforms (creating managing and troubleshooting VMs).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and hands-on technical ability.
- Good communication with technical and non-technical users.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 3 5 years hands-on experience in IT support IT administration or systems administration.
- Experience performing backups and basic system monitoring.
- Basic understanding of IT security principles.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
