Ibis Perth is seeking a passionate and talented Chef de Partie to join our dynamic and recently refurbished venue in the heart of the Perth CBD. Reporting directly to the Head Chef you will be responsible for running your own section maintaining high standards of quality and consistency and supporting the team across all areas of the kitchen as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef with daily operations including prep and service
- Supervise and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
- Take ownership of your section ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Uphold food presentation and portion standards across all outlets
- Monitor stock levels minimise waste and maintain accurate stock rotation
- Ensure all equipment and work areas are maintained to the highest WHS and hygiene standards
What were looking for:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment
- Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
- Strong technical cooking skills across a variety of techniques and cuisines
- Leadership capabilities with experience guiding junior chefs during service
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Sound understanding of food safety hygiene and HACCP standards
Qualifications :
- Relevant culinary trade qualifications.
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety requirements HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Ability to work independently with initiative and energy in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication and team leadership skills.
- Passion for delivering high-quality cuisine and exceptional guest experiences.
- Multicultural awareness and ability to work with diverse teams.
