Overview
Leader Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Cementing Engineer to support deepwater drilling and workover operations offshore India. This position is central to the planning and execution of well integrity and zonal isolation programmes across a range of deepwater and HPHT wells within an ongoing multi-rig campaign. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced technical expertise in cementing design fluid systems and operational execution combined with strong leadership in managing offshore service providers and interfacing with drilling subsea and completion teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of cementing engineering from planning through execution across drilling completion and workover phases.
Design and optimise cementing programmes to ensure long-term well integrity and effective zonal isolation.
Review cementing service proposals laboratory test programmes and predictive simulations.
Provide on-site technical support during job execution including real-time troubleshooting.
Evaluate post-job reports and track KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
Liaise closely with well engineering fluids and subsea disciplines to ensure integration of well objectives.
Ensure all work adheres to HSE quality and regulatory standards in accordance with Operator and industry requirements.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Petroleum Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
15 years experience in oilfield operations including 10 years in cementing and deepwater/HPHT projects.
Demonstrated competence in cementing for DP rigs and deepwater well environments.
Proficiency in cementing design and simulation software.
Valid IWCF Well Control (Subsea Level 4) or equivalent.
Valid OPITO BOSIET and OGUK/DGS medical certificates.
Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative approach.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and rig-based engineering software.

Additional Information

Deployment: Call-Out basis; no guaranteed minimum days.
Rotation: Typically 28/28 or as defined by project requirements.
Logistics: Travel accommodation and messing provided.
Compliance: Must meet Indian labour visa and offshore medical standards.
