Summary:
The Senior Legal & HR Officer is responsible for managing both legal affairs and human resource compliance to ensure smooth company operations in line with Cambodian laws and corporate policies. This role reports directly to Japanese management and serves as a key liaison between the company government authorities and regional offices.
Main Responsibilities:
Legal Affairs:
- Draft review and manage contracts and legal documents.
- Handle company registration capital updates and compliance with MOC GDT MLVT and CDC.
- Support management with legal advice compliance and M&A-related matters.
- Maintain accurate legal records and coordinate with regional legal teams.
HR & Labor Compliance:
- Manage employment contracts renewals and terminations per Cambodian labor law.
- Handle staff registration and deregistration with MLVT and NSSF.
- Process payroll calculations (tax benefits seniority) accurately.
- Support recruitment onboarding and maintain HR records.
- Advise management and staff on labor law and internal policy.
Administration & Coordination:
- Communicate with Japanese management and regional offices on HR and legal matters.
- Maintain good relationships with government offices and legal partners.
- Ensure timely submissions and compliance filings.
Main Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Law or Human Resource Management.
- 4-6 years of experience in legal or HR compliance (consulting or multinational firm preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Cambodian commercial labor and tax laws.
- Experience in corporate registration and government procedures.
- Excellent English communication skills (Japanese is a plus)
- Reliable detail-oriented and proactive.
