The Role:

Were looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brisbane and act as a technical expert and trusted advisor to Redgates partners customers and sales teams. Youll play a key role in demonstrating how our products solve real-world problems enabling our APAC based team and driving customer success.

This is a varied and impactful role - perfect for someone who thrives on solving problems sharing knowledge and making a difference every day.

What Youll Do

Maximise sales opportunities by offering technical expertise and recommendations both before initial sale and during the customers contract

Give technical presentations and software demonstrations

Identify and convey the benefits of Redgates solutions based on a customers specific requirements

Build rapport and generate customer engagement leading to increased customer satisfaction successful adoption and future opportunities

Communicate and encourage adoption of industry best practices

Care deeply about meeting revenue targets while contributing to a positive customer experience

Attend face to face customer meetings sharing learning about how our customers operate to the wider sales team

Present on topics aligned with Redgates solutions at events on webinars as well as through both Redgate and social communication channels.

Responsible for personal development and delivering technical training to the sales team

Perform such other tasks as are consistent with the general description and in support of the local team

Travel - The position will require travel to prospects/customers/partners in the APAC region and to visit UK based HQ

What You Bring to the Table:

Solid experience working in a high-tech company ideally experience with database technology as a Solutions Engineer or in a role of an equivalent technical level

Have an understanding of the platforms our tools work on (SQL Server Oracle Postgres Visual Studio etc.)

Knowledge of the role of a DBA is desirable

Commercially astute with a customer centric approach

Excellent written communication skills and telephone manner

Excellent presentation skills (in person and remote)

Who You Are:

A desire to understand the issues faced by our customers

A genuine interest in technology and the ability to learn and understand technical information

Social self-motivated and enthusiastic

A proactive team player

Experience working in the software development industry is desirable

Software development or database administration experience is desirable

Experience of public speaking (50 people) desirable

Note: This role may on occasion require work outside of the typical working hours.

Salary:

Base: circa $150000 to $190000 AUD depending on experience with an OTE of additional 30%
