We are seeking aQuality Engineerto join our Port Melbourne team based 100% onsite supporting various BAA programs.
About the role:
In this role you will be accountable for assisting in developing maintaining and improving the effectiveness of Boeings quality system.
Position Responsibilities:
- Integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of program processes and documentation
- Develop quality metrics design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual Company and regulatory requirements
- Develop Quality criteria conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities
- Lead various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
- Develop and select methods for analysis testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
- Analyse non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
- Facilitate reviews and workshops to determine root cause of defects develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences
- Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
- Bachelors degree or higher in engineering
- Experience collecting organizing and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions
- Experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team
- Applicants must have unrestricted full-time working rights in Australia
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
- Certification (Quality Engineer Quality Auditor Six Sigma) through a recognized provider.
- AS9145 - Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) experience.

Classification Level:
This is an Enterprise Agreement position classified as Engineer / Scientist 1A. The successful candidate will be required to complete a 3 month probationary period.
