IT HBS Senior Strategic Sourcing Leader (Location: Milan Italy)

OBJECTIVE: Senior Strategic Sourcing Leader is supposed to provide strategic sourcing support in a project business environment. The main goal of the role is to gain savings through negotiations of subcontracting spend during the execution phase of a project and increase Honeywells competitiveness by optimizing the subcontracting costs during the Prebid this context the candidate would work closely together with the project management estimating and sales teams of the Italy HBS organization.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement subcontracting strategies aligned with business needs and market data.

Negotiate pricing terms and performance conditions with subcontractors.

Build and maintain strong subcontractor relationships driving the use of preferred subcontractors and developing partnership agreements

Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to create sourcing plans and support RFP processes during project planning.

Prepare subcontractor contracts aligned with customer agreements; renegotiating offers in post-award phase to drive additional savings and ensure quality.

Promote the use of e-sourcing tools improve compliance and drive efficiency across procurement activities.

Represent the supply function within local leadership lead sourcing initiatives and foster a culture of growth and excellence within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors or Masters degree (technical or business preferred)

58 years of experience in strategic sourcing ideally in project-based industries

Proven experience in subcontractor negotiations comprehensive understanding of commercial T&Cs related to supply contracts

Fluent in Italian and English

Proficient in SAP Oracle or similar systems

Strong negotiation leadership and communication skills Self-driven organized achieving results and team-oriented

Experience in project business related procurement e. g. construction business plant construction etc. and multicultural environments is a plus
