Pay | : | HK$60488 to HK$ 87341 (HGPS Point 25 to 33) per month including Monthly Allowance Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |
Key Responsibilities:
1. Take lead in clinical service provision of a section in Haematology.
2. Take part in equipment procurement installation functional testing and building services testing.
3. Perform shift duty according to service need.
4. Participate in test development.
5. Assist in setting up Laboratory Information System (LIS) and its testing.
6. Participate in continuous quality improvement exercise and risk assessment.
7. Assist in setting up of a quality system.
8. Active and major participation in laboratory accreditation.
9. Train junior laboratory staff.
Entry Requirements:
1. Be a registered Part I (full registration) Medical Laboratory Technologist and have a valid Practicing Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance.
2. At least 5 years experience in medical laboratory services.
Preferred Attributes / Exposure:
1. MSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (see remarks 2).

3. Experience in cytogenetics and fluorescence in-situ hybridization able to interpret and report cytogenetic results.
4. Experience in special haematology such as flow cytometric analysis special coagulation testing and haemoglobin studies.
5. The immediate past 4 years were continuously serving in Haematology.
6. Familiarity with core haematology services such as analyser operations middleware & LIS setting and film review.
7. Quality management
l Experience in quality system essentials such as competency training and assessment internal auditing document control and continuous quality improvement activities.
