Pro-Rata Salary Range of $72400 to $75k Base (dependent on experience skills and capabilities).Plus 12% Superannuation and access to Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging with a value of up to $15900. (more information provided below).

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join our Australian HR team in early February 2026.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a current HR Assistant looking to take the next step into developing HR advisory skills in a dynamic and supportive HR Coordinator is a key team member in the HR team and will be responsible for providing general HR advice to employees and students whilst managing day-to-day administration tasks for the Australian HR team.

Our successful candidate will be the owner and subject matter expert for a range of administration processes proactively identifying and addressing any problems and escalating issues where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain accurate employee data in the HCM system (SAP SuccessFactors) ensuring records are correct and reliable for decision-making.
  • Support recruitment administration including posting ads conducting reference checks and acting as backup for the Recruitment Coordinator during peak periods or leave.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities ensuring all documentation is complete and facilitating programs such as the TGI Buddy Program and new starter events.
  • Manage key employee lifecycle processes including contracts variations confirmations onboarding terminations and exit interviews ensuring compliance with legislation awards and internal policies.
  • Provide general HR advice to employees and students aligned with legislation awards contracts and internal policies escalating complex matters when necessary.
  • Support health and wellbeing initiatives including coordinating the WHS Committee participating in safety activities and assisting with workers compensation management.
  • Provide backup support for payroll processing and contribute to remuneration reviews and performance development cycles.
  • Maintain and improve HR content on the staff intranet ensuring information is current relevant and user-friendly.
  • Generate accurate HR reports to support decision-making.
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects and initiatives driving continuous improvement in administrative processes and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues and stakeholders accommodating time zones to ensure seamless communication and project alignment.

Skills Knowledge and Experience/ Our Successful Candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications in a HR or related degree with an understanding of Australian employment legislation and application of modern awards or ability to develop understanding quickly
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a HR Assistant or HR Administrator role
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills including the ability to prioritise work based on impact
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service orientation developed through experience in customer/client-facing roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff and students at all levels of the organisation
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products specifically Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and Outlook
  • High level of attention to detail and demonstrated ability to review work to ensure accuracy
  • Proactive can-do attitude with the ability to take initiative and drive tasks to completion
  • Aptitude for managing sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours of work for collaboration and contact with global teams based on requirements of the position
