The Project
ACCIONA is a key delivery partner in Western Australias Clean Energy Link North project which is part of the states largest transmission upgrade to support renewable energy integration. The company is responsible for constructing approximately 27 km of 132kV transmission line installing 6.7 km of underground cable and completing 17 km of overhead line stringing along with significant substation and terminal upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality standards codes and regulations across all construction projects.
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to assess materials workmanship and construction techniques.
- Conduct inspections and testing to identify defects deviations or improvement opportunities.
- Investigate quality issues and determine root causes collaborating with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing performance data incorporating feedback and applying best practices to enhance project outcomes.
- Plan conduct report and follow up audits ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Champion quality within the team promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement aligned with organisational goals.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance obligations.
- Experience in the construction industry particularly supporting large infrastructure projects.
- Ability to conduct audits inspections and data analysis using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with project teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset including root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
