Job Summary

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Simulation Coordinator to join us in a permanent full-time role. Based at our Springfield campus these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield opening early 2026. As Maters newest public hospital this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds ICU maternity emergency and surgical services its set to care for over 200000 patients annually.

As a member of the Simulation Programs team you will provide coordination and support for a range of experiential simulation-based activities including planning development delivery and evaluation of simulation activities within Mater Hospital Springfield facilities and off site for commercial activities and projects.

Salary range: $54.44 - $58.30 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

As a Simulation Coordinator you will be responsible for the coordination of diverse simulation-based activities including allocation and preparation of simulation will support delivery of high-quality experiential simulation-based activities providing expertise and guidance related to scenario design simulation technology applications equipment selection moulage and console operation.

As a valued member of the simulation services you will also have an integral role in the provision of psychologically safe environments for learners participants colleagues and other faculty during briefing debriefing and faculty professional development responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate environment and equipment for simulation-based activities
  • Maintain records and databases for simulation delivery and resource management including ordering via the D365 system
  • Provide orientation and technical support for simulation technology and manikins
  • Develop and implement moulage techniques and simulation props to enhance learning activities
  • Coordinate and manage the simulation assistant team to ensure consistent simulation processes across all sites
  • Actively contribute to the development delivery and evaluation of simulation-based activities
  • Support operational requirements that may include work outside standard hours or offsite delivery within the local area or statewide

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Relevant AHPRA registration
  • Attained Cert IV in training and assessment/Post Graduate Clinical Education/Simulation course or working towards it
  • Minimum 3 years experience working within a clinical healthcare environment
  • Experience in a simulation centre supporting technical aspects required to deliver simulation activities at point of care.
  • High-level communication interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work within in a team and independently in a dynamic innovative and flexible environment
  • Strong focus on professional self-development and that of others
  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service
  • High Attention to detail
  • Contribute to safe environments (Physical and Psychological)
