We have immediate openings for experienced Registered Nurses! Nurses function as fully integrated members of a multidisciplinary team while providing excellent psychiatric nursing care. This position Registered Nurse II - Temporary (Job Requisition #53739) is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week.

Environmental Factors

Duties primarily performed in a clinical setting. Work may require travel off-site. Exposure to communicable diseases blood borne pathogens potentially physically and verbally violent patient population and other stressful situations may occur. May be required to work evenings nights weekends and extended shifts as the need primarily performed in a clinical setting. Work may require travel off-site. Minimum Qualifications

Possession of (or eligible for) licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license AND two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience in the nursing specialty.

NOTE: Must maintain Vermont licensure as a Registered Nurse OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Geriatric

Pediatric/Adolescent

Special Requirements

Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels and for unannounced regulatory inspections and is considered a condition of employment. The ability to work overtime when required is an essential function of this job class.
