About the opportunity
The Policy & Legislative Services Advisor will assist the Legislation Policy and Information Services (LPIS) Division in formulating effective legislative and statutory solutions and authoritative advice working closely with the Senior Policy & Legislative Services Advisor. The role will assist in reviewing analysing advising and development of policy and strategy in a range of contexts including strategic economic legislation regulatory and operational.
The Policy & Legislative Services Advisor will work across a broad range of subject matter areas including occupational health and safety and workers compensation and will work in a variety of settings including national government and stakeholder forums. Key accountabilities include;

About you
Youre an exceptional communicator and relationship builder who thrives in complex fast-paced environments. With strong analytical and research skills you bring a strategic mindset and the ability to translate insights into clear evidence-based policy advice.
Your experience in government or public policy enables you to navigate complex issues deliver high-quality advice under pressure and manage competing priorities with confidence. Youre highly organised self-motivated and known for your professionalism and sound judgement.
Youll also bring a solid understanding of legislative and regulatory processes including the development of policy and drafting instructions alongside knowledge of WorkSafe Victorias legislative framework and CommonwealthState processes.
Tertiary qualifications in economics law public policy administration science or health will support your success in this role.
