About The Role:

Join our Collaborative Strategic Procurement Team and help set the direction for procurement across the Cities of Charles Sturt and Marion. As a Procurement Advisor youll lead strategic sourcing and contract management for Information Services and other categories as required ensuring best-value outcomes that support organisational priorities and benefit for our community.

You will:

• Lead and coordinate strategic procurement activity including tendering evaluation negotiation and contract formation
• Establish contracts with fit-for-purpose KPIs and performance management frameworks
• Ensure the highest standards of probity transparency and professionalism in procurement activity
• Monitor compliance with policies procedures and legislation and recommend improvements to governance and risk controls
• Develop and maintain the Forward Procurement Plan and provide regular reporting on progress risks and outcomes (e.g. savings coverage compliance)
• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop specifications and deliver timely high-quality procurement outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement of procurement templates tools processes and reporting to improve efficiency and customer experience
• Develop and deliver training and support so staff understand and apply procurement requirements consistently
• Provide guidance and share expertise to strengthen team capability through coaching mentoring and supporting professional development within the shared procurement team
• Contribute to cross-council governance arrangements and represent the participating councils in supplier and industry engagement
  
  

About You:

Youre a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen practical problem-solving and a collaborative approach. You bring:

• Proven experience leading complex procurement and contract management activities
• Success in strategic sourcing / category management / collaborative procurement delivering measurable value
• Strong knowledge of public sector procurement probity and governance including the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation policies and frameworks (local government ICAC/probity and public sector requirements)
• Excellent negotiation risk management and performance monitoring skills
• High-level communication and stakeholder engagement capability
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
• Experience with e-procurement systems and solid digital skills

The Detail:

The position is offered on a full-time permanent basis and is classified at Level 7 with a starting salary of $123152.65 per annum Super Annual Leave Loading.
