Terminal Operations & Cryogenic Systems Management

• Oversee all terminal operations including ship unloading product transfer through jetty-terminal pipelines and comprehensive storage management
  
• Monitor and maintain cryogenic LNG pipeline temperatures at design cryogenic levels at all times to ensure system integrity
  
• Manage LNG boil-off gas (BoG) to minimum levels for optimal efficiency and cost control
  
• Ensure smooth truck loading operations across four loading bays optimizing throughput for maximum virtual pipeline efficiency
  
• Manage natural gas send-out rates into neighboring pipeline systems in accordance with contractual conditions
  
• Monitor pipeline state including all cryogenic infrastructure to ensure continuous operational readiness
  

Strategic Leadership & Performance Optimization

• Provide strategic and hands-on leadership to Terminal Operators and all terminal staff across operations
  
• Monitor terminal performance equipment functionality and product quality to ensure operational excellence
  
• Track and analyse operational data to identify trends inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement
  
• Monitor plant performance conduct technical studies and recommend improvements to boost productivity and equipment reliability
  
• Develop review and implement SOPs for terminal operations including LPG/CNG/LNG filling storage blending transloading and dispatch
  
• Coordinate maintenance schedules and equipment servicing to minimize terminal downtime while maintaining maximum equipment availability
  

Safety Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Enforce all process safety fire protection and environmental regulations in compliance with company national and international standards
  
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations including NMDPRA SON Fire Service requirements and environmental standards
  
• Maintain awareness and application of key requirements of NFPA58 (LPG) and NFPA59A (LNG) standards
  
• Ensure readiness of all emergency response systems and personnel training for comprehensive safety drills
  
• Keep track of all regulatory licenses permits and certificates ensuring they remain up-to-date and valid at all times
  
• Enforce compliance with HSE standards at all operational sites through periodic audits and inspections
  

Operational Excellence & Quality Assurance

• Coordinate with jetty staff to ensure safe efficient and timely vessel unloading operations
  
• Ensure all loading metering and measuring equipment are calibrated and function accurately
  
• Maintain product measurement tolerances for receipt and loadout within internationally acceptable standards
  
• Enforce full adherence to approved processes and standard operating procedures across all terminal activities
  
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to ensure timely gas distribution and optimal stock availability
  
• Ensure zero terminal stock-out and meet or exceed terminal plant operational targets measured in tank turns
  

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead recruitment training and performance management of operational staff including technical teams administrative staff and truck drivers
  
• Foster a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement across all terminal operations
  
• Undertake periodic staff training on process safety via toolbox meetings and pep talks to enhance operational efficiency
  
• Manage staffing schedules conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs for team development
  
• Conduct periodic site visits audits and performance reviews for all locations under management
  

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare and present operational reports and performance updates to senior management (daily weekly monthly or as required)
  
• Serve as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders external regulators suppliers and contractors
  
• Represent the terminal in community and industry forums as needed
  
• Demonstrate commercial and technical competence in all stakeholder interactions
  

• Operational Impact: Youll lead operations at a critical LPG/LNG terminal that serves as vital infrastructure in Nigerias energy distribution network directly impacting energy security and economic growth
  
• Technical Leadership: Manage sophisticated cryogenic systems and marine-to-land operations that represent cutting-edge gas handling technology in West Africa
  
• Strategic Visibility: Report directly to GM Operations with COO oversight positioning you at the heart of strategic operational decisions for the companys flagship terminal
  

Requirements

Who You Are

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field (Masters degree or MBA is an advantage)
  
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in gas operations with at least 3 years in supervisory or managerial capacity overseeing multiple locations
  
• Strong knowledge of gas facilities gas pipeline systems and cryogenic operations (LPG CNG LNG)
  
• Proven leadership and people management skills especially in cross-location team supervision
