This role is part of Alcons Engineering function a team focused on improving quality processes products packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Associate II Manufacturing Science & Technology Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path) is primarily responsible for developing implementing and evaluating new production materials equipment and technologies. You will conduct research perform feasibility tests and collaborate with vendors and partner functions requiring advanced technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
In this role a typical day will include:
- Monitor product performance using SPC and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement new or revised manufacturing processes for efficient economical production of surgical project.
- Lead assigned projects to resolve material and manufacturing-related issues.
- Apply risk management tools (e.g. pFMEA) to reduce process risks.
- Conduct tests and troubleshooting throughout production to ensure quality control.
- Ensure all production processes comply with regulatory and GMP requirements.
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Pharmaceutical Engineering or other related sciences.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing ideally in a process support QA or QC role is a plus.
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis DMR/MDF and pFMEA concepts.
- Solid knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in data handling applied statistics and technical report writing.
- Strong communication skills in English and the local language.
