Job Summary

We are seeking a SeniorAccountant with general ledger experience to workin our Accounting & Finance department to help with the following:
- Prepare analyze and review financial statements such as balance sheets income statements and cash flow reports for segments of the business.
- Support accounting operations or complex segments of the general ledger function.
- Compile and analyze accounting activities to ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
- Review and verify financial statements for accuracy completeness and compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
- Coordinate accounting matters across departments ensuring consistent financial reporting and communication.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes including advanced journal entries reconciliations and adjustments.
- Provide technical expertise on complex accounting issues and guide the development of improved accounting systems methods and controls.
- Support external and internal audits by preparing detailed analyses and documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Encourage and enforce safe workplace practices and adherence to company safety policies.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred.
- 6 or more years of General Ledger experience or public accounting is ideal
- Oracle ERP system experience helpful
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and advanced understanding of accounting principles policies and procedures.
- Strong understanding of currency exchange rates intercompany accounting and financial consolidation.
- Microsoft Office experience with proficiency in Excel
